Terms of Service

By accessing or using One Big File you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of the service after an update constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via the 'Last updated' date and, where appropriate, by email.

One Big File provides browser-based file-processing tools for PDFs, images, documents, OCR, and productivity tasks. Tools process files in a secure, temporary worker environment and return downloadable results.

Tools are divided into Free and Premium tiers. Free tools are available to all users without an account. Premium tools and higher usage limits require an active paid subscription.

Creating an account is optional for free tools but required for Premium features, API access, and job history. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. Accounts may not be transferred to another person without our consent.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, are inactive for an extended period, or pose a security or abuse risk.

Premium and Business subscriptions are billed monthly or annually via Stripe. By subscribing you authorise Stripe to charge your payment method at the start of each billing period.

Prices are shown on the pricing page and may be updated with at least 14 days' notice for existing subscribers.

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access to Premium features until then.

We do not offer prorated refunds for early cancellation. If you experience a billing error or are charged after a documented cancellation, contact onebigfile@gmail.com within 7 days and we will investigate promptly.

Annual subscriptions may be refunded in full within 14 days of the initial charge if you have not used any Premium features during that period.

You may use One Big File to process files that you own or have explicit permission to process. You may not upload, process, or distribute content that is unlawful, infringes third-party intellectual property rights, is malicious or harmful, or is designed to circumvent the platform's security.

You may not attempt to disrupt the service, scrape the platform in an automated manner beyond what the API permits, reverse-engineer the processing pipeline, or share your account credentials with others.

We reserve the right to reject, throttle, or remove any job that violates these rules or that we reasonably believe poses a risk to the platform or other users.

All uploaded files and processed outputs are temporary. Files are automatically deleted within 60 minutes of upload. Download links expire after a short period.

You are solely responsible for downloading and retaining any output you need before the expiry window closes. We are not liable for lost outputs after the retention period.

One Big File and its associated brand, software, design, and documentation are owned by us and protected by intellectual property law. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute them without written permission.

Your uploaded files remain your property. By uploading a file you grant us a limited, temporary licence to process it for the sole purpose of delivering the requested output to you. This licence expires when the file is deleted.

The service is provided 'as is' and 'as available' without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any conversion or processing result will be perfectly accurate.

File conversion quality depends on the source file, fonts, embedded assets, formatting complexity, and the capabilities of open-source processing engines. Results should be reviewed before use in production workflows.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, One Big File shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of revenue, or loss of profits arising from your use of the service.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 90 days preceding the claim, or USD $10, whichever is greater.

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator is registered, without regard to conflicts of law provisions.

Any disputes that cannot be resolved informally will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that jurisdiction.
