Cookie Policy
What cookies and browser storage One Big File uses, why we use them, and how you can manage your preferences.

What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored in your browser by websites you visit. They allow sites to remember preferences, maintain sessions, and measure usage. Similar technologies such as localStorage and sessionStorage work in comparable ways.
Some cookies are essential for the site to function. Others are optional and are only set when you give consent.
Essential cookies
These cookies are necessary for the core features of One Big File to work. You cannot opt out of essential cookies while using the service.
Session token — keeps you signed in during a browser session and links your processing jobs to your account.
CSRF token — protects form submissions and API requests from cross-site request forgery attacks.
Consent record — remembers the cookie choices you made so we do not ask again on every page load.
Theme preference — stores your selected light or dark theme so it persists across visits.
Analytics cookies
With your consent, we may use privacy-focused analytics cookies to understand how visitors use the site — for example, which tools are most popular and where errors occur.
Analytics data is aggregated. It is not linked to your account or personal identity, and it never includes the contents of uploaded files.
You can withdraw your consent at any time by clearing your browser cookies or using the cookie preference controls on the site.
Advertising cookies
One Big File may display ads to non-Premium users to support the free tier. Ad networks may set their own cookies to measure ad performance and avoid showing the same ad repeatedly.
Personalised advertising is only enabled with your consent. If you prefer not to see personalised ads, you can opt out in your browser settings, use an ad blocker, or upgrade to a Premium plan which removes ads entirely.
Third-party cookies
Stripe — when you visit the pricing or checkout pages, Stripe may set cookies to detect fraud and remember your payment preferences. These are governed by Stripe's own Cookie Policy.
Analytics providers — if analytics are enabled, the provider may set a first-party cookie to distinguish unique visitors. No cross-site tracking is used.
We do not allow social network tracking pixels or third-party retargeting cookies without your explicit consent.
Managing your preferences
You can clear all cookies for One Big File at any time through your browser's privacy settings. Doing so will sign you out and reset your theme, consent, and session state.
Most modern browsers let you block third-party cookies, enable 'Do Not Track', or use private/incognito mode to limit tracking across sites.
Opting out of non-essential cookies does not affect your ability to use the free tools. It may affect ad relevance if ads are shown.
